Mutant Monsters (2019) | High Potential Legacy NFT Collection

in NFT2 years ago

Greetings,

In this article, I will talk about the Mutant Monsters (2019) collection, one of the Historical NFTs. The collection of Mutant Monster is an NFT collection created in 2019. The reason why the Mutant Monsters collection has drawn my attention is that it is not yet known to most people interested in historical NFTs. Therefore, I should note that it is extremely cheap in terms of its price. (The base price is between 100-250 USD when this article is written.)

The First Mutants on the Ethereum Network

I believe a good historical collection should have a catchy descriptive short story that gives the feeling of estimable collection. When evaluating NFT projects, I pay attention to whether they have a short and catchy story. For instance, Curio Cards are known as the first art on Ethereum. When you tell your friend that Curio Cards is the first art collection on Ethereum, they won't forget this information easily.

Created in 2019, the "Mutant Monsters" collection, on the other hand, is the first collection to use the word "mutant". Today, there are dozens of collections present in the NFT world using the word "mutant", especially "Mutant Ape Yacht Club".  (The most reputed collection "Mutant Ape Yacht Club", which uses the word mutant, has a market cap of approximately $1.6 Billion.)

The fact that there are many collections that uses the word "mutant" gives us the short and memorable story that is required for the "Mutant Monsters" collection.  Mutant Monsters = the first mutants on Ethereum.

The Story of the Collection: Mutant Monsters starts off as a learning and development project on Rinkeby Testnet. The creator of the collection, realizing that mutant monsters have become visually attractive at some point, decides to publish the project on the Mainnet. Once published on Mainnet, it has become available in NFT marketplaces such as OpenSea, RareBits and SpiderDEX.

(2019, Mutant Monsters ranked 42nd in the Opensea ranking.)

The images of Mutant Monsters are produced using Robohash.org. (Robohash is an open-source project; there is no copyright problem for the Mutant monster collection). If the name of Hrvoje Novakovic is mentioned in the artist section of the collection description, it means that this image was created using robohash.

The are various special monsters in the collection. These monsters were designed by the community. İf ''Cryptoboson'' is mentioned in the artist section of the collection description, it means that this is an image created by the community.

Total number of the monsters is 2250

There are 2250 mutant monsters in total.  Initially, there was no limitation of number in the contract. However, the developer terminated its authority over the contract, limiting the number of mutant monsters to 2250.

Contract: https://etherscan.io/address/0x3910d4afdf276a0dc8af632ccfceccf5ba04a3b7

Also, the 8 mutants at the following address are inaccessible. You can deduct these 8 mutants from the total number of monsters.

The project team is active and continuing to work on development studies. The creators of the Mutant Monster NFT collection are also working on different projects, including swapmatic.io (the first swap platform on the matic) and dust token (reward token for NFTs). You can generate Dust Tokens through blocktimeworld by using your Mutant Monsters.

Historical NFTs

As I mentioned earlier, I think the most important criterion when valuing collection items will be the release date of NFT. The older an NFT is, the higher its collection value will be. New collection items will continue to emerge and at some point there will be more supply than demand in collections. After this point, people will now show interest in old collections that are difficult to access instead of valuing new collections. ''

I got my first Mutant monster in 2020 from AceKennedy.eth, whom we exchanged gifts on Twitter. At that time, CryptoPunks characters were traded at about 150 USD.  In that period, I wrote a review article, in which I examined both Opensea and Crpytopunks, predicting that CryptoPunks would be very valuable in the future and would be worth $1 million 10 years later. I postponed the purchase by thinking that "I don't need to buy it now; I can return back next year and collect it at these prices anyway".  But with the emergence of NFT frenzy in 2021, I have missed the train. :)

In this article, I also would like to make a prediction about the Mutant Monsters.  I predict a base price of 10,000 USD in 5 years and 100,000 USD in 10 years.  The fact that it is a collection with 22.5 Million USD market cap will yield a profit of approximately 100x compared to its current price. For this, I foresee a period of 5 years. (I would be happy to be wrong about the duration) (This is not an Investment Recommendation.)

I've been away for about 2 years and now I see my artwork in a fresh article. Awesome. I call them Triceravil, Slurpy, Otyugh and Mutant Mother-in-law "Linda the Horrible". The original Monsters are here: https://makersplace.com/cryptoboson/creatures/
